I've used Colgate toothpaste since forever and I've tried several different kinds. I have recently learned this one, MaxFresh with Mouthwash Beads, is the absolute best. And when combined with the 360 toothbrush, it's even better. The back of this toothbrush has these little tiny pokey things that just make me wanna brush my teeth for a really long time. Seriously. And since I don't love to go to the dentist, this is a good thing. I think brushing my teeth for a really long time gives me license to not go for awhile longer.
Speaking of license, I turned 40 on June 3rd. It was a very eventful day. It started with KD & Or bringing Chick Fil-A biscuits to my house and ended with a party at Sweet Peppers complete with balloons and homemade strawberry cake!! There were a zillion things going on that day. Tons of phone calls & presents & stuff like that. So much so that I didn't pause to think my drivers license could be expiring on that day. I never even looked at it on that day. In fact, the first time I looked at it was yesterday evening when LouLou and I went to WalMart. So, it's now been expired for almost a month. Oops.
The other day, I drove up to my Daddy's house and I saw my 11 year old daughter driving his riding lawn mower down the street. Before you freak out too much, she was driving on the cul-de-sac side of their house. Rarely any cars over there. Anyhoo, she was driving with one hand...drinking a Coke with the other. Do you need a drivers license to drive a lawnmower? On the street?
On a totally different day, I bought all the stuff to make homemade ice cream. I took it over to Mama's cause that's what made sense. Funandone's been begging her to make the kinda ice cream that has raw eggs. He knows this is a no-no, but he begged anyway. She said yes. Boy, that ice cream was good. Seriously rich. Most of us ate 2 bowls of it. It was just too much for LouLou. She didn't even finish the first bowl.
Funandone said if we ever wanted to do anything fun again, we'd have to cut our eating out budget. He showed me this print-out of the numbers and I was really surprised. Apparently, I haven't cooked in the last, oh, 4 or 5 years. So...we're eating tacos and Hamburger Helper cause that's about all I remember how to cook (not really). Or we go over to Mama's. She cooks all the time. Like every meal. I told Daddy the other day that going over to their house at mealtimes really helps our eating out budget. He said it's fine with him. He worded it a little differently, but that's basically what he said. Thanks, Daddy! ☺
